Market Night

Every thursday night downtown Redlands, California is host to local craft makers, musicians, farmers, and businesses. Hundreds of people come every week to enjoy the half mile long strip covered e-z up to e-z up tent with food and other local trinkets. There is even a gazebo area where a different musician plays every week and a horse carriage you can to ride around in.

The first booths you will hit offer a generic vending area with cd’s, hats, bonzai trees, key chains and other goods. The middle section is mostly reserved for local restaurants to provide a variety of food from gyros to baked almonds. And finally the end is set aside for the certified farmers market. It is this area where farmers from all over the valley come to sell vegetables, fruit, flowers, honey, and dairy products.

Market nights and Farmers Markets all over the country are popping up to help spread the benefit and joys of buying local and eating fresh. Events like this provide fun for the whole family and the vendors really engage you in their products. A highly recommended event, I would advise checking out your local street markets to see if they provide the same opportunities for fun and entertainment that ours here in Redlands does!

Hope you have an amazing day!
